John Knox has nearly 40 years of full-time professional experience with riding, competing, training, instructing, breeding, raising, selling, and handling a variety of breeds of horses. John has also schooled with several international riders and managed
multiple large-scale boarding operations as well as his own boarding and training facility. John has overseen the care & maintenance of hundreds of horses of all breeds and disciplines and has become adept at working effectively with a wide variety of horse owners and personalities.
This extensive background, combined with his formal education in teaching (specify education and job title) and special needs, enables him to quickly identify learning styles and the challenges impeding progress.
John says, “My goal is to effectively communicate the techniques required for you move forward while respecting your individual horse’s needs and temperament. My communication style is calm and respectful, and I build carefully for success.”
John spent the last several years managing a 30-stall boarding operation, which limited his teaching to a smaller number of clients. In the spring of 2021 John retired from farm management and is now more available for instruction, training, and consultation.
